The Timbra Incident has begun
Thank you to everyone who showed up Sunday to help get our campaign out the door. It was a great turnout and the battle lines have been officially drawn. Look here for new posts coming soon covering first turn reports, battle setups, summaries, and up to date information as battles get played out.
Luckily our one GM at the meetup survived his encounter with the ravening hordes and got first turn movement settled.
No first campaign goes off without a hitch and we did have one confusion. For this campaign there are ten armies represented on the map which will be tracked. Each side however, has much more then five players, the other players on the team are mercenaries hired by their faction for the duration of the campaign.
These players will not directly control armies but will be a substitute for when one of the team's main five armies needs to play out a battle and the army's primary player isn't attending. This will happen a lot, so everyone be ready with those lists!
Furthermore, if there are more players attending then battles we have to play, anyone can pair up and play a 40k battle against someone from the other side. The winner will get stratagem points for their team as seen in the rules.
Also, whether you are a mercenary or army player, we encourage you to create a background for your army. Come up with a name, a short bio, post it to meetup or Facebook and it can be uploaded to this site.
